‘Reach New Heights’ is the latest marketing campaign from the University of Huddersfield.

 

Using characters designed by artist Sören Selleslagh, we brought them to life in 3D, integrating them seamlessly into live-action footage from Peter&Paul shot in and around the Huddersfield campus.

 

We took a hybrid 2D/3D approach—blending hand-drawn 2D and 3D animation techniques with a strong emphasis on drawing and camera staging/compositing. This results in a final product that convincingly grounds the characters in the real-world environment, while preserving the charm and expressiveness of traditional hand-drawn animation.
